# <a name="Antennas for LV2"></a> Antennas for LV2

----

**Introduction**

We have three antennas we need to integrate into LV2:

- 2.4GHz bidirectional telemetry system (currently 802.11b)
- 1.5GHz GPS receiver
- 1.3GHz amateur TV broadcast system

Here's our ARRL 802.11b link budget: [[LinkBudget]]

On the rocket, we've decided on vertically polarized (linear) cylindrical patch antennas for all three systems. See:

- [[AntennaDesignLV2]] for our antenna design.
- [[AntennaConstructionLV2]] for construction notes.

On the ground, we've decided on right-hand circular polarized end-fire monofilar helixes. See:

- [[GroundAntennaDesignLV2]] for our antenna design.
- [[GroundAntennaConstructionLV2]] for construction notes.
