## <a name="Meeting notes for July 9th, 2002"></a> Meeting notes for July 9th, 2002 General Meeting

----

### <a name="August 3-4 Launch Logistics:"></a> August 3-4 Launch Logistics:

- There's some question whether we're going to get our FAA waiver, and whether we can get an insurance letter to the land owner. Both of these are of course critical to the launch, so we'll keep everyone updated.

- We'll arrive Friday afternoon/evening and set up as much as possible.
- We'll try to launch on the M motor Saturday morning, before noon if possible.
- We'll try to launch on the N motor Sunday morning, again before noon if possible.

- Bring clothes for hot days and cold nights.
- We must be EXTREMELY careful about fires since it's fire season - certainly no open fires, and check the logistics page for more fire information as we get closer to the date.
- Techie equipment to bring: FRS radios, ham radios, binoculars, video cameras, cameras, and tripods.

- Food: Larry and Andrew are going to arrange for Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Sunday breakfast and lunch. That way rocket people don't have to worry about food (or like last time, go without eating!). Since we have zero money, everyone will have to pay for their food. Please plan on bringing money to pay for food - we're aiming for between 5 - 10 per meal, including drinks, snacks, etc.
- There will be port-a-potties, and an area to set up tents.

### <a name="Team Updates:"></a> Team Updates:

- **Airframe:**
- **Avionics:** The framework for the CAN firmware is done, so now we're desperately coding for the various CAN nodes (IMU, GPS, ATV overlay board, etc.). We're also working on code to test the 802.11b communication channel between the FC and ground computers, and of course working on the ground computer software (rocketview) to display the data. We're also working hard on getting patch antennas made before the 7/20 test, and driving the airframe team nuts with our strange requirements for mounting them.
